Armenia Lacrosse is pleased to announce Yevgeniy Gevorkyan as the program’s first Director of High Performance. Yev previously served as the Defensive Coach for the Team Armenia Men’s Field Team that won the Heritage Cup in 2025 and also contributed as the U19 Men’s Defensive Coach.
A business systems analyst based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Yev is currently in his 10th season as Defensive Coordinator at Calvin University, an NCAA Division III program. In the offseason, he coaches both travel field and box lacrosse, while also competing in senior box lacrosse with the Grand Rapids Grizzlies.
As a player, Yev competed at Grand Valley State University, where he was part of the MCLA Division II team that won the CCLA Conference Championship in 2008 and became the first GVSU team to reach the MCLA National Championship game that same year.
Yev and his wife, Hope, have three children: Reiden, Penelope, and Fenix.
